Private Boat Charter in Dubrovnik — Dubrovnik
From €450 per boat (up to 12)

Private Boat Charter in Dubrovnik

The whole boat, just for your group — pick your islands, set the pace and let your private skipper handle the rest. The flexible way to spend a day on the Adriatic from Dubrovnik.

A private boat charter from Dubrovnik is a whole-boat hire for your group only, with a bespoke route and timing instead of a fixed schedule. You choose the islands and how long you linger, you sail with your own English-speaking local skipper, and the boat takes up to 12 guests. Charters run daily from April to October out of Gruž harbour or the Old Town Port, priced per boat rather than per person.

The whole boat, on your terms

A private charter is the simplest kind of luxury: the boat is yours, the route is yours, and the day runs at your speed instead of a timetable’s. There are no strangers to share the swim ladder with, no hurrying back so the next group can board. You decide when to leave the harbour, where to drop anchor, how long to float in a quiet bay, and whether lunch is a long island konoba or a quick swim and press on. Your private skipper does the navigating and the local knowing; you do the relaxing.

Because we charge per boat rather than per person, a charter is often better value than it first looks. Split between a family or a group of friends, the cost per head can land close to a shared seat — only now the whole boat, and the whole day, belongs to you.

How a private day works

There’s no fixed schedule, so we build the day around you. A few days before, we’ll have a short planning chat to sketch a route — which islands, which swim stops, whether you’d like a lunch booking made for you. On the morning, you meet your skipper at Gruž harbour or the Old Town Port at a time that suits your group, and from there the plan is yours to bend. Want to stay an extra hour in a cove where the snorkelling is perfect? Done. Fancy swapping a busy beach for a hidden one your skipper knows? Even better.

The example stops in the itinerary above are just that — examples. Most groups weave together the Blue Cave on Koločep, a swim or two around the Elaphiti Islands, and a relaxed lunch ashore, but you’re free to keep it simple or go further afield. Couples often ask for nothing more than a quiet anchorage and time to themselves.

Who charters with us

Families with young children love having the run of the boat — naps, snacks and life jackets all on their own schedule. Couples book charters for proposals and anniversaries, when the privacy and the freedom to slow down matter most. Birthdays and milestone celebrations turn into a brilliant day on the water with a bottle on ice, and small companies use a charter as an easy, memorable team day out of the office. Whatever the occasion, the boat caps at twelve, so it stays personal.

What’s on board

Every charter includes your private skipper, snorkelling gear in all sizes, cold drinking water, and all the fuel and harbour fees rolled into the price. We’ll happily suggest and book a restaurant for your lunch stop, point you to the calmest coves for the day’s wind, and set the scene for any celebration you’re planning. Lunch, drinks and gratuities aren’t included, which keeps the day flexible and the quote honest.

Charter, or join a group?

If you’d love the freedom of your own boat, a charter is the answer. If you’re happy to follow a planned route and would rather pay per person, our shared trips — like the Blue Cave & Elaphiti tour or the gentle Dubrovnik sunset cruise — give you the same coastline at a lower price. Not sure which fits? Get in touch and we’ll talk it through honestly.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can the private charter take?

The boat takes up to 12 guests, and the price is per boat — so it's the same whether there are four of you or twelve. That makes it especially good value for families and groups of friends splitting the cost between them.

Can we design our own route?

Yes — that's the whole point. We'll have a quick planning chat before the day to map out the islands, swim stops and any lunch booking you'd like. On the water your skipper can adjust on the fly, swapping a cove or lingering longer wherever you're having the best time.

Is a private charter good for a proposal or special occasion?

It's one of our favourite reasons to book one. We can build in a quiet anchorage, a sunset arrival or a discreet bottle on ice — just tell us what you have in mind and we'll set the scene without making a fuss of it.

What's the difference from your shared group tours?

On a shared tour you join other guests on a fixed itinerary at a per-person price. A private charter is the whole boat for your group only, with a route and timing you set. If you'd rather a planned day at a lower price, the shared tours are the way to go.
